Dr. Saad Alrashidi

Dr. Saad Alrashidi has firmly established himself as a distinguished leader in radiation oncology, particularly in the specialized field of brachytherapy. As a senior consultant at King Fahad Medical City—one of the region’s premier radiation centers—and an academic affiliate of Alfaisal University and Princess Noura University, Dr. Alrashidi’s expertise spans both clinical and academic spheres. His influence extends beyond institutional boundaries. As a founding member and current President of the Middle East Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (MESTRO), Dr. Alrashidi has been instrumental in the development of the largest radiation oncology network in the Gulf and Middle East. This achievement underscores his commitment to fostering regional collaboration and advancing clinical practice standards. Dr. Alrashidi’s advisory roles at three universities and three major governmental hospitals further highlight his strategic insight and professional versatility. Notably, he pioneered the first ultrasound-guided prostate brachytherapy procedure in the Middle East and has introduced six innovative techniques for gynecological malignancies, particularly in the treatment of endometrial and cervical cancers.
